Spiderman delivers smiles with the help of CWUHA

Lancashire’s very own friendly neighbourhood Spiderman AKA Johnny Walker local CWU representative from Royal Mail Nelson Delivery Office visited Alder Hay Children’s Hospital in Liverpool on Wednesday 4th March 2020. With the help of a donation from the CWUHA, along with donations from toy manufacturers Hasbro, Mattel and Tomy as well as other donations, Johnny (Spiderman) was able to deliver sacks full of toys and plenty of smiles to the children being treated there. Read more from Johnny below.

“Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions seeing all the kids faces light up with smiles from ear to ear. I feel humble and grateful that Alder Hey Children’s Hospital gave me the opportunity to go in and spread some joy.”

“I’ve tried to get as many photos as possible to share with you all but as you can imagine for the interest of respect and dignity I can’t post the Childrens photos on here without the consent of their parents, but I can assure you all they were all over the moon!”

“In closing I’d like to thank everyone that donated to the GoFundME page I created, the CWUHA for their generous money contribution, all the toy manufacturers that donated fantastic gifts and lastly Martin Petty & Charlie Pullinger for helping out on the day.”
