2026 CWUHA Charity Longmynd Hike

For more than 15 years, John and Sue Turnbull have organised the annual CWUHA Longmynd Hike to support the charity’s projects. They have raised over £50,000, helping children in the UK affected by domestic abuse, supporting disabled children in Moldova, and sponsoring education for children in Tanzania.

This year’s hike will be on Saturday, 5th September, and we are always looking for more volunteers to join us. The

Longmynd Hike covers a 21-mile circular route through the Shropshire Hills. If you prefer, you can just walk the first 10 miles to the pub at the halfway point.

By taking part, you’ll not only raise money for great causes, but also enjoy a fantastic day with wonderful people and experience some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside.
