NEWS: PAKISTAN FLOOD APPEAL.......... CWUHA has donated £1000 towards the appeal. With Gift Aid this should bring £1280 towards alleviating the suffering of many millions of people. A small amount considering the scale of the disaster, but every little counts. We would like to encourage everyone visiting the CWUHA web site to make a personal donation via the Disaster Emergency Committee's web site: www.dec.org.uk

OUT OF AFRICA

Pictured is Mr. Masawee, a Tanzanian teacher with his family outside his home. He would like to try and educate local village children at his home, to give them a future in life. In order to achieve this Mr. Masawee has to have a school room and toilet built onto the side of his house.CWUHA has agreed to finance the building of the classroom and toilet. When thebuilding is completed CWUHA has also agreed to sponsor five children'seducation, at the small cost of $120 per child, per year (see photo) , in thenew schoolroom. During the 2006 CWU Annual Conference we hope to persuademany more CWU members and their families to sponsor Tanzanian children. Aguest speaker will be giving more details of the scheme at the CWUHA AGM which is held on Thursday
